One of the Italian agri-food products par excellence is cured raw ham , almost impossible to find in some foreign countries.

The food and wine tradition of our beautiful country has always boasted a rich production of raw ham, obtained thanks to careful processing of the pork leg.

In the case of De Nunzio 's cured ham, it is appropriate to specify first of all that it is exclusively 100% Italian pork and, furthermore, that each process takes place following traditional methods.

In fact, the salting is carried out manually and the maturing is carried out in special cells with controlled temperatures which, thanks to a uniform ventilation system, create the ideal climate for this process.

The manual skill and experience of the De Nunzio company's butchers ensure that every single procedure takes place accurately and without the use of chemical products that could alter the organoleptic properties, but also the quality of the cured ham.

This is why, after having meticulously salted the pork legs, waited the time necessary for the liquids to be expelled and removed the excess salt, we proceed with a step which has a very important role in the preservation of the ham: greasing.

It is made with a mixture of suet, pepper and flour and is used to cover the lean part to prevent it from drying out excessively and hardening during the maturing period.

The cured ham is available both in vacuum-packed slices and in pieces to be cut as desired.

De Nunzio's seasoned raw ham is perfect for the classic appetizer accompanied with melon or dairy products, as well as to be eaten as a second course .

A structured red wine, such as Aglianico, best enhances the rich and decisive taste of the cured ham that we offer in our store!
