Seasoned lard is the perfect product to accompany appetizers and give dishes a unique and enveloping taste.
Its flavor gives pleasure to the senses, a flavor of our local tradition, which literally makes your mouth water.
Lard is perfect melted on hot bruschetta, baked with potatoes or crunchy as a garnish for soups and impressive dishes.
The most tempting dish is certainly the bean soup decorated with hot crunchy lard, but the use of this cured meat is also perfect with risotto.
Its versatility is its strong point; seasoned lard is excellent to eat fresh on a slice of bread, accompanied by cheeses and pickles.
Its flavor goes well with both red and white wines. The rule to follow is to find a wine that balances the greasiness of the lard, therefore a dry and decisive wine is preferable.

How we prepare our seasoned lard
We prepare our seasoned lard solely following the ancient peasant tradition, using exclusively natural products without chemical or industrial additives.
The pork meat is carefully selected and removed from the rind, i.e. the skin of the pig.
It is massaged and sprinkled with salt, so as to let it penetrate deeply and shield the meat from any bacterial intrusion.
The meat will rest in salt for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months, during which it will absorb all the flavors and aromas that will make it tasty and ready to be eaten.
The maturation takes place inside rooms with strictly controlled parameters, to allow us to obtain a product of the highest quality and give it an unmistakable flavour.
